STOP! BIG BEAR!

On our way home from Anchorage, as we drove by the Russian River, Lynzie yelled "STOP, BIG BEAR" So I pulled over the best I could...everyone knows how curvy and narrow the road is there and we were able to snap these pictures. It was just eating berries along side the road....not bothered by all the CRAZY people who were getting out of their cars to take pictures. Like I said they were CRAZY! We stayed in the car! We woke Rylee up so she could see it. She was so excited...she made me print out the picture so she could take it to school the next day.

The temple

On our way home for Anchorage, we stopped by the temple. Rylee had not remembered seeing it before. She loved it...said it looked like a castle.

Last set of tubes... We hope!!

As I mentioned in Levi's post that Rylee had her check up with the ENT. She is still having ear trouble. She failed her hearing test at school. He said that she should have another set of tubes to keep the fluid from building up on her ears and cause more cloudiness to hear through. So we went to Anchorage on Mon/Tues for our 5th surgery for Rylee and her 4th set of tubes. She was a trooper and did great. The ENT said that her ears look good. Her ear canals are abnormally small and are just now starting to grow down. He wants her to heal for 3 weeks and then go to the audiologist for a real hearing test. We are hoping that this does the job and that her hearing loss is minimal if not at all! My fantastic sister in law Lynzie came with me to help with Levi while I had to take care of Rylee. She was great help and fun to chat with on the drive. I love you Lynz!Posted by Picasa

Levi's skin tag

I don't know how many of you know, but Levi was born with an extra piece of skin on his ear that is called a skin tag. His DR was going to just cut it off when he was circumcised, but after consulting another pediatrician, she cautioned us to have it looked at by an ENT. There could be a chance that it was intertwined with his facial nerve and cutting it off could cause half his face to be paralyzed. So we had the consult when Rylee had her monthly check with the ENT and he said it was just skin and that it could easily be cut off. He got it done on Monday. He cried for only a moment and returned to his normal smiley self. He has just a little scab that is healing nicely.

Special Bond

All of the girls have a love for Levi, but Zoey has a special bond with him. And out of all the girls, he resembles her the most. She is great with him. She sings him sweet little songs that she makes up and he smiles bigger for her than for anyone else. She calls him her stinky little boy and mister Levi. It is so cute! It warms my heart to see her with him.

Bumbo Boy!

Levi is hanging out in is bumbo. He likes it but only for a little while. I think it wears him out to hold up his head. You know it is an 88th percentile head! :) He is a growing boy. We are moving to size 2 diapers and 3-6 month clothes.
