Happy Daddy’s Day!!
We are blessed to have a great man as the head of our family. He loves the Lord, his family, and life. He works hard to provide for us and take care us. He enjoys spending quality time with his kids and loves to watch them learn and succeed!
Zoey said “ it should be called daddy’s day cuz I don’t call him father” Happy Daddy’s Day, Ryan, the best daddy in the world! We love you!
>Catching up!
It has been a crazy last month. One thing after another!
I had not been feeling well for about 3 months straight and off and on before that. After many $$$ worth of tests, they finally figured out that my gallbladder was only working 4%..I had to have it removed. I had surgery for it on the 26th of May.We planned it that way so Ryan could be here to help with the kids since he had a 4 weekend for Memorial Day. When the surgeon got in there, he found that I had no main artery going to my gall bladder. It had been dying. I was born that way. The surgeon said he had never seen that before. Ryan says he knew I was one of a kind! :) They were all surprised that I had made it though 4 pregnancies without it failing on me. I say Heavenly Father took care of me to get those babies here. That is the only way to explain it! .
I expected to bounce back quicker. I am recovering well am still sore and get tired easy, but am getting better each day. I had so many wonderful people bring food and help take care of my kids. I am truly blessed!
I have posted pictures to catch up on what has been happening.
Soccer Girls!!
Rylee and her cousin, Camry, started soccer this week. They had their first practice last night and their games start next week. They are way excited! Guess I am now officially a soccer mom!
Levi turns 2!!!
Can’t believe out little man is 2…where does the time go??? He is all boy..making noises and getting into trouble…but he does like to give kisses and cuddle!
Opening presents….
Loving his buzz lightyear car
Using his new golf club from Lynzie and Miles….wants to play with the big boys!
Friends
Our good friends Jared and Stacie came to visit from Idaho..they moved away from AK once the global warming didn’t kick in! :) We were happy to meet their cute kiddos.
We were able to have a BBQ with them and Chad and Kristi. Fun times!
Back yard friends!
This momma and new baby were hanging out in our backyard…a little way later. There was an uproar. I didn’t have time for the camera..so no pictures, but a momma with a yearly came around too. We got to watch the two mommas fight. It was pretty cool. The mom with the new baby ended up leaving.
Sleepover twins!
Savannah came home with us after church and ended up staying the night. She didn’t have her own clothes so Rylee let her borrow her extra set of PJ’s. Apparently mom and Gramma in NV have the same taste!
Family Fun in the Midnight Sun!
Levi picking up toys and candy. He had his hands full and then he saw a reese and threw everything down and grabbed it. I think he is related to his Aunt Tiffany! :)
Daddy coaching Zoey to run the foot race
Rylee and Camry running in the 7/8 year old girls foot race.
Rylee took first place..she gets it from her dad..not her mom! I will openly admit that I am not a runner and have never been!!
After the races for each age group, they give away a bike for a boy and girl in each age group. Rylee has been lucky enough to win twice! We were 2 numbers off three times this year…so no bikes! But we did win this sweet covered wagon in the door prize raffle. Nikiski Re Center does an amazing job with this even each year. They give great prizes away! Thanks to out great community!
Levi enjoying a ride in the wagon
Cabin time
Last Friday was a beautiful day…we decided to cease the moment and head to the cabin for the kids to play in the water. Ryan pulled them on the jetski. He even gave Tiffany and her BFF, Erin quite the ride. I didn’t get any pics. You could hear lots of screas and laughing. On Sunday…we learn that her nose is a little bruised..maybe broken. Dr Carlson told her he could reset it. :)
Zoey and Kenna
Chrystal, Levi, and Lily the horse…I mean dog!
Levi playing in the water
Tubing time!!! When we unloaded the jetski…Ethan Boehme said “oooh…did you bring that for me??” So cute!
Rylee enjoying the sunshine
We stayed out late…I look this at 11:15 as we headed it. Land of the midnight sun indeed!!
Pool time!
Zoey and Avery had cabin fever from not feeling well and being stuck in the house. I decided to take them to the pool to get them out of the house. Rylee and Camry went too, but they were off playing in the deep end so I didn’t get any pictures.
Lefty??
Levi favors his left hand…I know it can change…but he prefers it right now. My dad is a lefty. Levi loves peas…my dad does not… Grampa says “yes” to the lefty “no” to the peas!! Ryan says leftys are great pitchers in baseball.. Maybe he’ll he be a left handed pitcher in baseball who loves peas…
Rylee’s first ocean trip!
Ryan took Rylee out halibut fishing for the first time. She had a ball. She caught a skate, a cod, and a halibut. The water then got rough and she got sick. She ended up sleeping the rest of the time, but she loved it and wants to go again!
On the way to the fishing hole
Pulling something up…this pole has a low gear so she was able to reel her own fish up. Even the skate…they fight like crazy.
Her daddy is a proud papa…he loves that she loves the snow and to fish. It warms is heart!
Double Tonsillectomy
Zoey and Avery were both supposed to have their tonsils and adenoids removed in Anchorage. I figured if I was gonna do it might as well save myself an extra trip and just get them both done. We got to Anchorage on Monday, to find out that I had the dates messed up and was supposed to be there on Tuesday. The Dr’s office was extra nice and helped us out to make sure we had proper housing for the extra night.
We decided to just stay and do something fun since we had all day Tuesday to kill. When we went to dinner, Avery told me her tummy was hurting. When we got to the hotel she started vomiting and vomiting and vomiting….we spent Tuesday in the hotel room with her. She was one sick little girl. It took 6 days for the bug to get out of her body. They were not able to do surgery on her. I am taking her back this coming week to hers out. Hopefully it will be a much less eventful trip.
Zoey was able to get hers done. She went though surgery like a champ. The nurses at the surgery center said that they had not had as good a patient as her in years. The DR said that he hadn’t seen tonsils and adenoids that large in a long time! We knew she is a special girl. She did develop an infection and we had to get her antibiotics. That was a setback, but she is doing better. Getting more and more of her “Zoey spark” everyday.
I”m very thankful for our neighbor and friend, Chrystal, who went with me to help, since I was still recovering from surgery myself…little did she know what she was getting herself into. I couldn’t have done it without her! She is amazing!
They got to pick new PJ’s to wear to the surgery. Avery ended up lounging around in them and wearing them home in the car.
Zoey after the “silly” medicine. She is a little dopey. They are taking her in.
After surgery with her “cool” shades and stuffed cat to match that the nurses gave her.
