Lightning McQueen

My father in law started this project before he left on his mission. We got the car painted and I was asked to make “stickers” to transform this old triumph into Lightning McQueen. It took lots of research to find the right logos to cut, but we got him done!

I found the logo images online that some nice man had uploaded for anyone to use for free. I had to cut each layer color and assemble them by hand. It took awhile but they turned out great! I thought it would only be fitting if we made the Ellis Auto Logo a little more cartoon like.

When the kids are in the bath downstairs, I usually put towels in the dryer so they are warm when they get out. Well, Zoey decided that getting in the dryer was much warmer then just getting her towel out. Crazy girl!

One tired boy!

Levi decided a while back that he wasn’t going to nap anymore. Not fun for mom...since I need to lay down and rest a bit in the afternoon. He has been playing hard. Last week, he fell asleep standing up with his head in my lap at the dinner table at 6:15. (we didn’t get a picture) I am sad! Ryan put him in his bed and he slept til 7:30 the next morning. A while back he was eating popcorn one minute and the next minute we hear a little bit of a crash and here he was…asleep sitting on on the popcorn bowl.

Hello Kitty Hat

Zoey asked me to make a hello kitty hat for her BFF’s birthday. This is how it turned out. Not to shabby. Now Zoey wants me to make her one so they can match!

The Lows return Home for the summer!

The Low family have been coming up here every other summer for a long time. Todd works at the shop and they enjoy being in Alaska. It is fun to have them here with us.

Alaskan grown kids are CRAZY!! It hits 50 degrees and they are saying it was so HOT and that they want to run through the sprinkler. It was 55 the other day and this is how I found little Miss Zoe Zoe out jumping on the trampoline.

Soccer Girl!

All three girls are going to play soccer this summer. Avery and Zoey are on the same team and playing for the first time. I got them all their gear and I thought Avery was going to sleep in hers. She wouldn’t take it off. I think she is a little excited!

Last Day of School

They usually ride their bikes to school with Chrystal on the last day, but since she had heart surgery she was not able to ride a bike so she took them on the 4wheeler with the cart. Levi hitched a ride!

They all tie dyed shirts during the last weeks of school and were supposed to wear them on the last day to the picnic. It rained a lot that day so we picnicked inside this year.

Teacher Appreciation!

My girls had some terrific teachers…we gave them these flower pots with a quote on them that says “ Teachers plant seeds of knowledge that last forever” for teacher appreciation.

Avery with Miss Pala…she is one in a million. I do not believe that there is another Pre-K teacher as good as she is. Levi has quite the crush on her. He wants to go and see her everyday. “I stay with Miss Pala” he says. I hope he gets to have her for Pre-K as well. She paid us the best compliment…”she said that if she could clone Avery and Ethan and have 10 of them..she would have the perfect class.” (On that note, the lunchroom aide also told me that day that Rylee and Camry were the best behaved kids in the school. They are so polite. You must be doing something right at home. She even brought them a special treat because she was going to miss them over the summer) It does a mom’s heart good to hear that your child is a great example for others and is good for the teacher and other staff members…too bad that doesn’t carry over to the behavior at home! :)
