My first bear sighting!

My husband called last night and asked if I wanted to go fishing on the river for kings. We don't have many days left to do this since I will be gone for awhile and his friend's boat can only be on the river in June do to motor regulations. We didn't have much success fishing. I had one on that had to be 50 plus pounds (since Ryan's biggest was only 50 pounds) but it got off right before we could get it in the boat. On the way home, Ryan said that we should take the Escape Route to see if we could see any bears. He was trying to make me feel better since he saw a momma brown bear and three tiny cubs on Saturday. About a minute after he said that, we rounded the corner and saw this bear, right before we made it into town. Ryan said quick get the camera, but the bear was in no hurry. I was a little nervous to roll down the window. The bear was a little too close for comfort. I was happy though. My first AK bear sighting and I didn't even have to go traipsing through the woods.
