This is Zoey...she has a habit of twirling her hair...we have tried everything to get her to quit, given her a doll to twirl it's hair, have her rub her ear or a toy...nothing has works. She twirls it so much she makes knots...many of which I have had to cut out of her hair. Thanks to her Aunt Jennifer we got this one out today, but she is damaging and breaking her hair off. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to break this habit??? I fear I will a very bald 2 1/2 year old.

OH my heavens that is a hard one. She won't twirl a blanket? What about a blanket that has small freighed edges that might feel a bit like hair? She just does it out of habit but could be creating a big problem with her head. Hope you find something that works. Good luck!!
TAG!! YOur it!!!
Have you tried using hair products? Putting lots of gel (or something) in her hair will make it stiff and less easy to twist.
You could try cutting it shorter so she can't wrap it around her finger. However, her finger is probably so small the hair would REALLY short.
Good Luck....I've never had to deal with this one!
Don't know about the hair problem, but I wanted to let you know that we are excited about the amazing changes you are making to your house. You will have the mansion of your dreams. YEA! You deserve it! Thanks for keeping us updated on your life- still miss working with you- almost everyday. I still some of the activities you showed me. lol
Take care-
I had a friend that her daughter would actually pull her hair out. She eventually stopped. I think the idea for putting a large amount of hair product sounds promising.
I found this link after a quick search. http://kidshealth.org/PageManager.jsp?dn=KidsHealth&lic=1&article_set=21617&cat_id=146& It says that she will grow out of it.
